Patricia Helman is an attorney in the Morgan & Morgan Business Trial Group and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including business torts, contract disputes, professional malpractice, and other business-related matters.
Prior to joining the Business Trial Group, Patricia was In-House Counsel for a multi-billion dollar timeshare corporation, guiding corporate executives in sales and marketing matters. Her role was focused on conducting extensive analysis of the law, advising business leaders, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, including consumer protection, timeshare advertising, real estate broker, and numerous other areas of the law.
Patricia’s corporate legal career spanned fourteen years, beginning as a Paralegal, to Legal Director, to In-House Counsel. She understands business needs and how corporations analyze the law, and she brings this knowledge and expertise with her to the Business Trial Group.
Patricia grew up in South Florida and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 2003. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. While attending law school, Patricia worked full-time as a Legal Director, participated in Barry Law Review as a Senior Editor, counseled clients in the Environmental Law Clinic, was published, and served as a Legal Research and Writing teaching assistant for first-year law students.
